Come and spend some special time learning to massage your baby. Massage is a great way to bond with your little one, helping you become more confident handling your child. Massage can relax carers and babies, increasing your levels of the 'feel-good' hormone oxytocin. We offer two groups, one for babies over 4 months led by a group leader, and another for babies under 4 months, led by a group leader and early health practitioner.
A drop-in support group in for breastfeeding mums. Get help and advice from the group leader, health practitioners and other mums in a relaxed, informal environment. Toddlers and dads very welcome.

A group for new mothers who are experiencing post natal depression. This is a closed group run by highly qualified staff who can offer advice and guidance. A crèche is available.
A group for women at any stage of pregnancy. This is an opportunity to share experiences of being pregnant, to get support with difficulties and challenges, to plan for the birth they want or to share the first few months of their relationship with their new baby.
For children up to 3 years old. The group provides you with the opportunity to engage and play alongside your child. Our aim is to encourage reflective parenting, and for parents to learn more about their child’s interests by thinking about how their child is developing and communication.
There is an opportunity to be filmed with your child in the session, which is a helpful way to consider your child’s play and interaction from a different perspective. For parents, this group is also a platform to share your experiences with staff and other families, increasing your confidence in parenting.

Staff are also happy to visit families while in SCBU or meet with parents prior to attending the group.
